#3，5The book is more interesting that some of the last ones from James Patterson （not meaning he writes them！）。 But the main story is not the one on the cover， once again we have several cases at the same time - isn’t the author capable of following just one story all the way through？ - and we keep having “writing for dummies”: we keep having story resumes or repeating what was just said before （are we stupid and forget everything？）。 Maybe they just need to have a book with 400 hundred pages ins #3，5The book is more interesting that some of the last ones from James Patterson （not meaning he writes them！）。 But the main story is not the one on the cover， once again we have several cases at the same time - isn’t the author capable of following just one story all the way through？ - and we keep having “writing for dummies”: we keep having story resumes or repeating what was just said before （are we stupid and forget everything？）。 Maybe they just need to have a book with 400 hundred pages instead of 200， while saying exactly the same things over and over （eye roll）。Mentioning the road and street names， or restaurants， something that only a person that has been to San Francisco would know and maybe find it relevant。 And many of the discoveries just happen to them without much of an effort。Maybe I need to give up on Patterson once and for all… 。。。more

The collaborative effort of James Patterson and Maxine Paetro with high hopes。 And indeed， their joint venture yielded a good book， though one I found to be a peculiar mix of fascination and frustration。 The storyline presented by Patterson and Paetro was undeniably intriguing， each plot twist leaving me eager for more。 The characters they introduced were a vibrant bunch， well-developed and remarkably relatable。 From the enigmatic protagonist to the colorful supporting cast， each character added The collaborative effort of James Patterson and Maxine Paetro with high hopes。 And indeed， their joint venture yielded a good book， though one I found to be a peculiar mix of fascination and frustration。 The storyline presented by Patterson and Paetro was undeniably intriguing， each plot twist leaving me eager for more。 The characters they introduced were a vibrant bunch， well-developed and remarkably relatable。 From the enigmatic protagonist to the colorful supporting cast， each character added depth and dimension to the tale。Yet， as I delved deeper into the narrative， I couldn't shake off a nagging sense of disjointedness。 Despite the undeniable charm of each character and storyline， there seemed to be a glaring absence of cohesion。 While the characters were ostensibly connected by their friendships， the lack of meaningful links between their individual narratives left me feeling adrift。 It was as if I was reading not one cohesive story， but rather a collection of disparate tales haphazardly strung together。I found myself pondering whether this book could be better perceived as a series of interconnected novellas rather than a singular cohesive work。 Each storyline was so self-contained that it could easily stand alone as its own narrative。 This segmentation of the plotlines， while serving to maintain interest and momentum， also hindered my ability to fully immerse myself in the overarching story。 This could begin four separate series based on each story's characters。 I would like to express my gratitude to Little， Brown and Company and NetGalley for allowing me to read this eARC in exchange for an honest review。 。。。more

I’ve read all the Women’s Murder Club books and have enjoyed as the characters develop and mature into their careers with spouses and children。 The four best friends have provided hours of entertainment as they solve multiple mysteries， try cases and report them。 With 24 books in the series， these are best read sequentially for the building history as that plays into the personalities。 Thanks to NetGalley and Little， Brown and Company for the opportunity to read this ARC。

The Women's murder club are having a bit of a celebration at a restaurant in San Francisco for a wedding and a birthday。But then something awful happens， a woman is brutally assaulted on the premises。Of course the club is on hand to help and Yuki takes on the case in court。But the case is complicated by the woman involved having a form of multiple personality disorder。Meanwhile Lidsay is busy on the trail of the killer of a high profile couple in the area。To be honest this was not one of my favo The Women's murder club are having a bit of a celebration at a restaurant in San Francisco for a wedding and a birthday。But then something awful happens， a woman is brutally assaulted on the premises。Of course the club is on hand to help and Yuki takes on the case in court。But the case is complicated by the woman involved having a form of multiple personality disorder。Meanwhile Lidsay is busy on the trail of the killer of a high profile couple in the area。To be honest this was not one of my favourite Patterson novels I've read。I understand it's a collaboration and I think that made it a little disjointed and the duel strand story with both cases was distracting。Read some of these duo writers books by him before and this one was just not one of his best。It FELT like it was written by two authors， like the cases were divided by the two。Something about it didn't seem seamless。He is usually such a great read but this one for some reason fell a little short。 。。。more

This is the next installment in the Women's Murder Club and a must read for me。 I love these books and have fallen in love with the characters as well。 James Patterson and Maxine Paetro have captured many readers with these ladies and I don't know how they keep coming up with great stories that keep us begging for more from the Women's Murder Club！The Women's Murder Club is getting together to celebrate Claire's birthday at their usual restaurant when a scream from the upstairs area interrupts t This is the next installment in the Women's Murder Club and a must read for me。 I love these books and have fallen in love with the characters as well。 James Patterson and Maxine Paetro have captured many readers with these ladies and I don't know how they keep coming up with great stories that keep us begging for more from the Women's Murder Club！The Women's Murder Club is getting together to celebrate Claire's birthday at their usual restaurant when a scream from the upstairs area interrupts the celebration。 Of course Lindsay runs to see what is going on and finds a young lady cowered in the corner with bruises and half dressed。 With only one way out， Lindsay quickly realizes that the perpetrator that did this to her has to be close by。 When she looks around， she finds Tyler Cates naked and quickly apprehends him。 Tyler insists that Mary Ellen Hayes， the poor young lady cowered in the corner set him up and asked him to have sex with her。 Of course the rest of the Women's Murder Club is there to back Lindsay in no time。 What is interesting about Mary Ellen is that she has a disorder that lets her slip into different personalities when she is triggered or put in certain situations。 It is her way of dealing with things。 When there are two sides to what happened with the whole situation， will Yuki be able to get to the bottom of what really happened with Tyler and Mary Ellen？Meanwhile， Lindsay is on the case of solving a double homicide of a husband and wife。 They were killed a few months apart from each other but Lindsay is on the case to figure things out。 There is a lot going on in this book and keeps you turning the pages to find out what happened with all of it。 I always enjoy reading about the women in the Women's Murder Club and going along with them as they continue to live their lives and do their work。 The short chapters in true Patterson style makes for quick reading and easy to sneak in a chapter here and there when you have a short break。 I love that about his books too。 I know you will enjoy reading this new chapter in the Women's Murder Club as I did。 I really hope that these books keep coming！ I enjoy them so much。 I voluntarily read and reviewed this book and all opinions are my own。 Thanks to NetGalley， the publisher and the authors for an advanced copy of this book。 So happy to rad it！ 。。。more

Exactly what I expect from a WMC book。 Solid mystery， exciting action， with character development intermixed。 I think Yuki’s story was the weakest plot， but then I think Yuki is the weakest character。 An exciting， quick read。

Book 24 in The Murder Club series （a couple of novellas too！）。 Another great novel incorporating the lives of our lead ladies Lindsay Boxer， Cindy Thomas， Claire Washburn and Jill Bernhardt and the criminal justice world of San Francisco。This book combines different storyline’s with a high society killer and a victim of a crime with Dissociative identity disorder （DID）。Good quick moving novel， short but punchy chapters。 Great addition to the series

Enjoy this series by Patterson， which is about 4 women who work as a cop， prosecutor， reporter and medical examiner。 They have a special friendship and help each other solve crimes。 I love their friendship probably a little more than the storylines about the crimes because the authors are giving each character a storyline instead of them solving one big crime together。 It’s always an easy read that I enjoy。 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have loved the Women’s Murder Club series since its inception and still envision Lindsay as portrayed by Angie Harmon！ However， this book was a bit too formulaic in attempting to give each Club member an equal amount of page time。 Hopefully， future books will concentrate more on one central Club member and spin-related stories from that hub， making for a more interesting and well-developed story。 I received an ARC from NetGalley， and the opinions expressed are my own。
